Training

Our training centre offers a comprehensive solution for training reconnaissance and strike UAS teams.

Our training centre offers a comprehensive solution for training reconnaissance and strike UAS teams.

Total training time: 10 days

Location: Zakarpattia

Training is conducted according to the proprietary methodology of Complex Training Centre, which includes the best developments of leading Ukrainian UAS schools and experienced UAS pilots: Boryviter, Victory Drones, NGO All-Ukrainian Federation for Support and Development of UAS, and NGO Aerorozvidka.

Our goal is to improve the quality of task execution by service members and reduce our losses on the battlefield.

The solution we offer consists of five separate courses:

Detection of enemy UAS with a radio scanner

Practical course for training reconnaissance UAS operators

Software: mastering reconnaissance and adjustment software systems

Practical course for training pilots of strike stabilized FPV drones

After Action Review.

Course “Detection of UAS with a radio scanner”

(duration 1 day, trainees: number 2 of the team, “navigator”, pilot)

Goal:

Training

the number 2 of the team to detect enemy UAS.

Based on data received during scanning, the navigator gives permission or prohibition to the drone operator for takeoff and monitors the absence of enemy UAS during task execution. This training module includes the following blocks:

Preliminary stage of radio reconnaissance to minimize the risk of the group being detected by enemy drones.

Explanation of the principles of radio-electronic reconnaissance and radio concealment.

How to fly under electronic warfare?

Explanation of safe work by the drone team.

Tasks of the number 2 of the team.

Studying the interface of the direction-finding device.

Typical targets.

Practice detecting and “tracking” a target and determining its movement trajectory.

We teach the principles of using trench-based drone detection tools on our own equipment.

“Practical course for training UAS operators”

(duration 5 days, trainees: pilot, number 2 of the team, “navigator”)

Goal:

acquiring practical skills in the use of civilian multirotor UAS in military conditions (drone setup, aerial reconnaissance, artillery adjustment, thermal-imaging observation with a drone).

Features of the UAS operator course:

emphasis on practice and flights;

mastering general theoretical knowledge about UAS, piloting, operator activity, factors that affect flight, and so on.

During the training process, trainees complete the following exercises:

preparing the drone and flight task

practical control exercises

practical observation exercises

practical reconnaissance exercises

difficulties and their elimination.

Course “Software: mastering software systems”

(duration 1 day, trainees: pilot, number 2 of the team, “navigator”)

Goal:

familiarization with the work of Kropyva and Delta programs used when applying UAS for aerial reconnaissance and artillery fire adjustment.

The training program includes:

studying software settings and functionality

using detailed cartographic information offline

placing data about the combat situation and reconnaissance data on enemy targets onto the terrain map;

performing topogeodetic reference calculations, including with consideration of satellite navigation system indicators and/or other geodetic instruments, and so on

decoding

studying the operational situation when planning a sortie.

Practical course for training pilots of strike stabilized FPV drones

(duration 4 days)

Goal

: acquiring practical skills in controlling strike stabilized FPV drones and practicing drops.

The distinctive feature of our FPV drones is the software, which makes it possible to stabilize the UAS during flight without affecting its speed and maneuverability indicators. Thanks to this software, a pilot can learn to control an FPV drone and make aimed drops to strike targets in 4 days.

Our piloting courses are focused primarily on forming practical skills, with an emphasis on maximum flight time and bringing actions to automaticity. We train teams of pilots and pilot-instructors who will be able, immediately after the courses, to perform combat missions on the front line and also train their comrades using the methodological materials we provide. A certificate is issued after completion of the course.

Course “After Action Review”

(duration 1 day, format: on Zoom)

Goal

: Orientation in the practice of After Action Review and its influence on studying and implementing army experience.

After Action Review is a key improvement tool integrated into the system of U.S. and NATO standards. As an approach to self-reflection and problem solving, AAR helps preserve and strengthen strengths, identify and improve weaknesses, preserve learned army lessons, and use them in future operations.

During training, the following topics are covered:

History and spread of the standard.

Definition, general purpose, and objectives of AAR.

Principles and guidelines for conduct.

Formal and informal reviews/AAR.

Four phases of the process and the learning cycle.

Conditions and cultural difficulties of implementation.

Connection with doctrine and instructions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

All courses are free for service members. To apply for courses, send an email to: support@complex.org.ua. Please let us know in advance if you need help with accommodation in Uzhhorod for the period of the courses.
